The short version

Privacy

Effective September 9, 2026. We collect only what is needed to operate, improve, and protect the site.

Audience measurement

Google Analytics loads automatically to help us understand site usage. If allowed, it processes information such as pages viewed, approximate location, referrer, and browser or device details so we can understand which recipes are useful. We do not use this data for advertising or enable Google signals or ad personalization. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services.

You can limit analytics cookies using your browser's privacy controls.

Ratings and reviews

When you submit a rating or review, we collect your rating, display name, optional review text, and optional email address. Your display name, rating, and approved review may appear publicly. Your email address is private and is used only if we need to contact you about your submission.

Abuse prevention

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish legitimate submissions from automated abuse. We also store pseudonymous hashes derived from a browser identifier and network address to limit duplicate ratings and excessive submissions. We do not store the network address itself in the reviews database.

Cookies and browser storage

The review system sets a strictly necessary, one-year browser identifier cookie. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Google Analytics may set first-party measurement cookies.

Moderation and retention

Submissions are held for moderation before publication. Spam, abusive material, and deleted submissions may be retained when reasonably necessary to enforce abuse controls or maintain accurate records. This policy will be updated as retention procedures mature.

Infrastructure

Cloudflare processes basic request information—such as IP address, browser details, and requested pages—to deliver and protect the site. Google processes analytics data under its own privacy terms.
